Canterbury
is one of the best known cities in Europe. Its fame derives
from its history and principally due to the fact that Pope
Gregory sent Saint Augustine to Canterbury in 597 AD where
he established his seat, or cathedra, and became the first
Archbishop of Canterbury. In 1170 Archbishop Thomas Becket
was murdered in the cathedral and ever since it has attracted
thousands of pilgrims, as celebrated in Chaucer's Canterbury
Tales, one of the cornerstones of Medieval English literature.
Within our catchment area are the bustling towns of Sittingbourne and Sheerness,
and the well known coastal towns of Whitstable, Herne Bay, Deal, Margate
and Ramsgate. We also cover Dover, the largest passenger port in the world.
Smaller historic towns that we regularly visit include Faversham and the
ancient Cinque Port of Sandwich.
Thanet
is a thriving area boosted by the rapid expansion
of Kent International Airport at Manston. The region
boasts a very rich and wide variety of property from
700 year old timber framed houses, knapped flint
structures and an extensive range of urban and country
property which include converted oasts, barns and
Martello towers.
The surveyors based in our office have worked in
the area for many years and have a high profile in
the local business community. Some have previously
worked for, or owned, prominent local estate agency
and professional practices. Collectively we have
over 75 years of experience and are therefore very
well placed to deliver a first class and locally
focused valuation and survey service to meet the
wide ranging needs of our many clients.
